Testimonials:

We have been holding this event since 1997. During this time, the Convention has evolved in response to feedback from attendees. Shortly after each event, we follow up with all attendees to assess their satisfaction and invite comments relating to any changes they would like to see made to the structure and, of course, to ask them what they really thought of the event.

Below are some of the comments received from those that responded to our follow-up of the 2009 Convention:

"I think it was good as it not only gave you ideas on what we can improve on but it also set up a great network to meet people in the same industry. I thought this was well done and I have no complaints."

Ross McCallum, Talley's Group (New Zealand)

Paul van Eijck, PotatoPro (Canada)

"One difference of IPP&S is that it presents much 'practical information'."

Dr. Michael Lewis, Decco (USA)

"Another excellent Convention. Well done!! The Networking Bar is a really good idea, and very effective."

Barbara Daniels-Lake, Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada

"The most valuable facet of this series of conventions that I have found is the community. There is a core of people who come to these functions for the value of the exchange of ideas that happens continually through this kind of function. This conference is about exchange of ideas. To the processors: I encourage you, especially you technical leaders, to come to one of these, just to listen. Have a chat over drinks or a meal. Think outside the box. You can keep your secrets with you. You will be surprised at what you will learn."

Tim Reardon, Potato Industry Manager, Key Technology (USA)

"It is a well organized event with a tremendous opportunity to obtain a lot of information and meet people in the industry. It is good to schedule many talks with longer breaks."

Dr. Nora Olsen, University of Idaho

"Thank you again for a very good conference. Yes, it does offer good value for money. It is a very good opportunity to learn about the new developments in the industry and for networking with key players. The atmosphere of the Conference is as always very friendly. It is very well organized."

"Excellent presentations, definitely busy. The structure seems to work. I was very pleased with the storage section presentations. I think this audience and group will help advance the industry."

Todd Forbush, Techmark (USA)

"I thought the event was well organized. I think a busy schedule is good - people can always skip a presentation and not miss a significant portion of the programme. Getting together for breakfast and an 'end of day' drink works."

Adrian Briddon, Potato Council (UK)

"I found it extremely interesting to have processing and storage coupled in a single meeting."

A senior executive, Simplot (USA).
